The buds are bursting

Very rainy morning - which we needed for the grass and the crops - but it cleared away midday and the evening was sunny with birdsong.

These buds caught my eye - I think they are Sycamore, the Acer family anyway.
I love the way they burst into life, almost as if they are hatching from an egg.

N and T drove down to Devon to look at a Blonde Acquitaine bull. There are plans afoot that we may cross our Herefords with another beef breed but still keep a young Hereford for the heifers.
