What do you mean, it's not red eyebrow day?

Great wildlife day. Rubbish photo day. Went up onto the moors - wonderful views across the city so perhaps I should have changed lenses and gone for a landscape. I was hoping for a good wildlife blip, but it was one of those days where everything came out mediocre - poor. I saw kestrel, lapwing, curlew, mistle thrush, goldcrest and Canada Geese, and best of all, a water vole, which sadly I wasn't quick enough to get any sort of shot of. In the end, I decided on this noisy grouse, who had just seen off a rival - on the basis that I could add a topical and mildly amusing caption.
