Three Graces

The latest addition to the Inverness Vanity Show. The "Three Graces" originally adorned a building in the High Street but somewhat mysteriously disappeared for many years. According to one recent report they were take to Orkney. They have however always been referred to as the "Three Graces" and that is how recent press coverage has referred to them. Anyway they have now been reunited in Inverness and erected near the Ness Church. The work is still in progess and the site surrounded by wire mesh fence so I will have to return later and get a better shot. And who were the Graces? I believe they were, according to Greek mythology, goddesses of charm, beauty etc. Aglaea (Splendour), Euphrosyne (Mirth), and Thalia (Good Cheer). As you can see the dour Presbyterian leaders of our polis have christened them Faith, Hope, and Charity.
