Field of Dreams

Railfanning can be a time-consuming activity, and you don't always get what you expect. Chasing an all-EMD lashup of four classic CPR SD40-2s out of Calgary's Alyth Yard, I headed to this location in Shepard, which I've been saving for a time when I could shoot a pair of the venerable SDs heading east. So to get four on one train, I could hardly wait!

But as usual, things didn't quite turn out - this flash-from-the-past consist I'd been dreaming about stopped at Shepard to fill out its train. But hot on its heels was 102, a hotshot intermodal headed for eastern destinations - with all-GE power :P
