New Ranunculus

The old Ranunculus flower had passed its prime and was deadheaded. This is an new blossom with two more buds waiting in the wings. Actually there are two other blossoms on the plant plus several buds.

From a growers web site:
"A single bulb can produce dozens of ranunculus flowers. In answer to flower arrangers' prayers, Tecolote ranunculus grow with long straight stems, have an long vase-life and bloom in mouthwatering shades. Recent breeding has yielded flowers with picotee markings, blush edges that appear to have been the result of hand dipping each blossom."
