The Ammonite

This is a sculpture in the centre of Malahide, on the green next to Marina Village.

It's made of bronze by a sculptor called Niall O'Neill. It sits in a pool of dirty water, usually surrounded by fag ends and remnants of someone's after-pub takeaway.

I actually think it's really ugly but, still, it's a shame that people see the need to ruin someone else's creation by graffiti-ing all over it.
