The volunteer's new clothes

We're going to hit the casinos of Poipet this weekend for Jon and Daniel's birthdays. I'm really excited. I bought this dress in the sale in Phnom Penh for $34.80 reduced from $116 from a French shop called Axara, and I got the shoes today on Sisophon market for $8.50. It's not often that I find nice things on the market so I was really pleased with these. Whilst I was in Phnom Penh I also bought some genuine fake Ray Bans, some tinned sweetcorn, some medicines, and some spaghetti hoops. All things that you can't get up here...

Today was busy, but in a nice way. I showed Vicky, the new volunteer, around town, we went out for breakfast, had a look round the market, opened her a bank account, and short-listed candidates for her to interview to be her translator.

I also made some really nice pasta salad involving my tinned sweetcorn.
