Low Water

There have been some terrific tides recently, right up the slip at high water and super low tides so all the weed, and even some sand, is exposed. Ollie and I had a good walk mid afternoon and then to clean off some of the mud, we had a bit of a pootle about at low water.

Ollie did a bit of paddling and snuffling in the shallows while I did a bit of beach combing. You never know what you'll find - usually just bits of pottery and interesting shaped pebbles but occasionally, like today, I found a little glass bottle. Very green and has seaweed and lichen growing on it, but not broken at all. Will clean it up a bit and blip it.

So nice to have a bit of warmth in the sun today. The wind was mild and had no rawness to it. Even ferreting around in the seawater my my hands weren't cold at all. Spring must be coming . . . . !

Time to knit a few more rounds of sock before making dinner and heading out to choir - it's a hectic life, being retired!
