Fishing with the whanau

I can't begin to describe what a wonderful day I've had.

We didn't do anything earth shattering but it was just so normal and relaxing. I've felt more relaxed than I have since before the 4 Sept earthquake.

A trip to the Nelson market, superb coffee at Zummos, laughter, sharing... the photographing Annelise at the playground then just lying on the beach. Wonderful.

More fun and laughter over dinner then a quick decision to fish at sunset. Hamish caught a Snapper and was a very happy boy.

So normal and just wonderful.

(Whanau is the Maori word for family. It's commonly used in New Zealand. Pronounced 'far-now').
