Reflecting

I could reflect on a day like today and consider that I hadn't achieved all I wanted to - is that so strange for a Monday? I could reflect on the day and wonder when I will be able to make up for the lost time. Time when I should have been ironing, taking things back to shops, delivering birthday presents, catching up with work, and all those other mundane things.

Or, I could reflect that it was a day away from the Mundane - who wouldn't want that on a Monday. It was time well spent away from the things which are so necessary yet so boring that they drain the life from me sometimes. I could reflect that I enjoyed the progress I made in my discussions. That we have turned a corner which hopefully will benefit everyone.

Who cares if we had fish and chips for tea instead of something ultra low fat and healthy. Who cares that I wasn't here for my babies to return to after a hard slog of learning. It meant my boy had no-one nipping his ear about exercising that knee.

I could also reflect that I have had the opportunity, on such a glorious day, to bag a new little boutique which specialises in handmade vintage corsets. Let's face it, it's not every day you come accross something so unique in Queensferry!
