Strike

Today was the first of two days this week that I'm participating in national industrial action called by my union, the University and College Union. The focus of today's action was the impending change to our pension scheme, you can find out more about the dispute and today's activities here.

The local press came to visit, so you can compare their professional photo with my own, one major difference being I'm in the press shot.

I don't take action of this sort lightly - it is a measure of last resort when other attempts at reaching agreement have failed.
