Not a day for blipping... Up at sparrows this morning to head into the office. Then 9 hours locked in a basement room in a meeting where nothing was agreed. Same again for the next 2 days. Arrived home late late. And brain dead.

Had 5 mins to play with a new lens I accidentally bought on ebay - hence this terrible photo. The lens says 'macro' on the box. But I am not convinced. Ten years ago in the 35mm SLR days macro meant crawling on all fours after bugs, manually focusing from 6 inches away using a 90mm lens and extension tube at a 1:1 ratio. Now every other zoom lens is called 'macro', cannot focus closer than 3ft and achieves 3.5:1 - allegedly. Has the definition of macro changed while I was not looking, or am I just having a Victor Meldrew moment?
