RIP from someone who cares...

I had planned a daffodils blip today as it was another nice afternoon (and there's a wonderful stretch of them around Jacobs well council offices) but after a walk through Bradford with my partner this afternoon we came across other flowers which although less beautiful were much more poignant...

This was from the Bradford telegraph & argus report;

"A man died last night after he was believed to have jumped from the top of the Kirkgate Shopping Centre car park. Kirkgate and Darley Street were cordoned off yesterday afternoon after the incident, which happened at around 3.30pm."

I hope that he didn't suffer. Today's blip is the spot where he died.

If this man jumped & wasn't pushed it's a shame that he had been blinded to the beauty of the world & was so desperate that he could no longer see a way out. I understand depression so know how easy it is for this to happen. In this financial climate perhaps it was debt that caused this leap?

I once, when trying to cheer up my mum (with philosophy no less) professed my belief that all things are timeless and that "there will always be daffodils" partly meaning that beauty is transcendent & timeless and exists even when we can't see it.

The card with these flowers read:

"RIP from someone who cares"

Samaritans are recommend if you feel you are in a similar position.

...and remember there will always be daffodils!
