Profusion of pink

Helena has gone to Edinburgh for a week, and on my return home tonight I sat with a gin and tonic and had a chat with her, as she crossed the River Tyne. Bomble jumped on my lap and a I saw a Jay eating at the tree feeders.

I picked up my camera and snapped but it flew off. I saw it in the Sycamore eating the young buds, but my 'settings' were pathetic and not fit for public consumption. A little later I couldn't resist the Ribes in full and profuse bloom, even though the light was dimming. One of these buds is in focus, I can assure you.

Bob and Mary are about to arrive for a few days of fun. I hope I might be able to blip them.
