Jet Plane

I took some photos of Pollok House this evening before going to the gym. However despite all my efforts, I ended up opting for this image that I spotted as I was taking my kit out of the car boot.

A jet plane vapour trail always reminds me of my first trip on one in 1976 when I went on a rugby tour to Washington DC to play in the Cherry Blossom Rugby Tournament. We were billed as the team from Glascow !! Great memories - it was the Bicentennial year - reception at Capitol Hill, lots of high jinks - and I even met Steve Martin.

John Denver was popular and we were always singing his songs.
