Money is a little tight at the moment, but we decided to put on a last minute BBQ as today is David's birthday and the weather has once again been nice.

And it has been a nice day, but I think it was a little bit of a let down for him. Even before the barbecue, he told me it didn't feel like a birthday day. Then unfortunately, because it was last minute and people had plans/illnesses, not a lot of friends and family could attend. It all just felt a little 'flat', especially compared to last year when we went for a meal and had a skiing lesson!

But I'm hopeful it hasn't been a complete disappointment of a day for him, as he collected his new 3DS first thing this morning after many a months of obsession and waiting. He's had lots of smiles and laughs playing and proudly showing it off :^D
