Passion fruit flower

After a church breakfast of pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, applesauce, and juice (very full), I headed to the seashore. I got in a traffic jam (us lousy snowbirds), and was still 5 miles from the gulf.
So, I pulled a u-turn and headed to my favorite garden spot. It was a good day to be there. I saw bees on sunflowers, green herons and ibises in trees, little green bananas, and this beautiful passion fruit flower.
I've never tasted the passion fruit. I looked it up on-line, and it looks like it's all pulp and seeds. It's used mostly for sauces. But the flower...o laa laa. So many colors and so many shapes. My mother-in-law likes purple, so I'm pretty sure she'll like this.
