Primulas

As seems to be the way of these things, the first picture I took today is the prettiest (I think). And so here they are, some lovely Primulas.

Going out last night was fun - went for a curry at a restaurant that had been at some point in its past; a Chinese restaurant, a Mexican restaurant and a German restaurant circa 1975. It retained decorative features from all of these and it was not a Design Success. Last night was the first visit in ages and they have removed nearly all signs of the previous incarnations. The 1970s lino and woodchip wallpaper remain though. Design success is still a little way off.

The menu is a bit of a hotch-potch that includes pizza, pasta, steaks, schnitzel & Indian dishes. Haven't tried anything but the Indian part of the menu but I suspect if anywhere would do a good curried Schnitzel, this would be the place.
Oh and the cd they had on was awful. It was a lot of remixes of Bollywood songs and the version of Shava Shava was truly atrocious. These things matter when you know and like the song.

Going there we encountered the local street "gang". About a dozen local kids about 14 who can only talk by shouting (or if they are girls by "Fieping"). they like making a lot of noise and trying to intimidate people. It doesn't work well because they are quite polite really. I suspect that they would last approximately 3 three minutes on Leith Walk.
