tempus fugit

Ebb-tide at sundown

This old clinker-built boat resided in our barn for many years as a repository for offcuts of timber and the like - until a percipient house guest spotted its potential.
He emptied it out and dragged it, with a little help from my sons, into its present position in our yard where it serves as a eye-catching feature and as a planter for spring bulbs.

Who knows when it last floated on the briny? It's obviously no longer sea-worthy. We named it Distyll y Trai/ Ebb Tide in honour of its final mooring here. The fishing floats and scallop shells have all been collected from nearby bays. The ducks are just getting in on the act.
