After the storm

This camellia flower looks a little the worse for wear after the blustery southerly storm we had last night.

Leaves were everywhere, the wind was howling around the house, especially the damaged bit. Luckily it's weathertight. there was some quite heavy rain too which must have taxed the drainage system, but it did clear some dust too which is good for us.

This camellia is a sasanqua so flowers in the autumn. They seem to do well in our garden and we have the japonica and reticulata ones too.

Not sure what the name of it is now - it's been in my garden 20 years at least.
