Turkish delight

Made from starch and sugar, this delicacy is also called Lokum and dates back to the 15th century Ottoman Empire. It was introduced to the West in the 19th century. I've decided that it, and/or the chocolate it is wrapped in here, aids healing. It's as good an excuse as any for stuffing my face.

This blip is the latest in my mini-series that began with
African violet
and continued with
Mexican wave,
Danish pastry
and
Irish coffee.

What next?

German measles?
Russian roulette?
Swiss cheese?
Spanish omelette?
Greek key?
Welsh dresser?
Scottish terrier?
Dutch courage?
American football?
Indian summer?
Japanese knotweed?
Maltese cross
or a full
English breakfast?

Wait and see!
