Pursuit Of Happyness

By happyness

only they would fall

only they would fall
in a specific pattern
laying in the snow

an alignment made
into a human form
drinking what, I don't know

but watching him
extend his hand
to graze the rounded lid

I understand
what it means
to really be a kid

Letting life fly by
with nothing stopping it
you don't remember a thing

except for those memories
that stick in your head
and really tend to cling

But once I remember
a time in my life
when I held a cup to my face

I looked into the sky
far beyond the clouds
and asked, what am I doing in this place?
