The Best View In Town
This would be a great if it was your office (or studio or just your room). It sits in a tower on the Neroberg and there's nothing to block your view except the horizon and the sky. Alas, underneath there is a cafe that is very popular with people (and no wonder). I did think about having a beer and just sitting in the sun but I don't do that sort of thing. I can be very shy sometimes.
In other news, I experienced two very unusual bits of behaviour (in other people) between the end of my Sprachkurs last night and lunchtime today.
On my way home last night, I was surprised to hear a lot of shouting. And even more surprised to see a woman coming staggering out of a pub, screaming incoherently for all she was worth and then inelegantly swinging on a signpost straight into a wall. I'm just not used to seeing that any more.
The second involved another pub that I was passed on the way back from shopping, I heard a lot of shouting from the pub, saw a lot of bodies piling out of the place and a number of bodies piling in. It felt just like being on Leith Walk again (although sunnier). I'm not sure what ecumenical point was being so robustly contested but I felt I had nothing to add to the debate and carried on home.
I'm putting both down to the fact that the clocks went forward and affected some people a lot more than others.
