Back of Bus, Front of Bus

We took the 72 bus along  the right bank of the Seine this afternoon, passing the Pont de l'Alma and heading east. The traffic was terrible.

I took advantage of the slow pace to take some shots from the back of the bus, showing the fresnel lens that (presumably) the driver can use to get a wider view to the rear.  Then, as we finally approached our stop at the Louvre, I blipped  this picturesque bus in front of us (not a city of Paris bus,  needless to say).  I feel it's appropriate to include the image, since this sort of female exposure in posters and more is pervasive in Paris, whatever one may think about it.

We  were coming from a superb exhibition on Gustave and Martial Caillebotte, at the Musée Jacquemart-André.  Gustave Caillebotte was a leading impressionist painter, and his brother Martial was a dedicated photographer. The exhibition shows how Gustave was inspired by many of Martial's photos, juxtaposing them in one gallery after another. A terrific show!
