Chihuahuan Raven

These ravens are very large (20"). This photo is not too good as there was a plant in the way. They kill their prey and wash it in local fountains and bird baths. I try to discourage the ravens from here as they kill all the baby birds while in the nest.
It is interesting about these ravens. They make friends with the hawks here. That way, they get the left-overs from the hawks and the hawks are much better at killing. They are also very, very smart.
