Rain and Mist and a Big Bridge

Had a day off today so checked the road bridge webcams, could see fog over the Forth, high tide was around 1pm. Near perfect. When I got there at around 12ish conditions for this kind of long exposure shot were spot on apart from one little thing. It was pishing down. Not the end of the world if you can take shots with a lens hood fitted as it will shield the lens from the worst of it, however, with 4 filters stacked in front of a lens it's a nightmare. Every shot was a battle to keep the front filter free of raindrops. Gave up after half a dozen shots and had to clone out a good few on this shot.

Shame, it had so much potential for a nice minimalist shot of the bridge, even at 30s the sea was flatting out nicely but the conditions won the day. Biggest bugbear was washing and drying all the filters till they were spotless before I went and having to do it all again when I got back.

Bloody weather.
