Licky lick lick...

An unexpected opportunity to see the kids this afternoon - got a call from G to ask me to pick them up from school. Glorious day so we headed for the ice-cream van on the moor. Having negotiated the 10 metres to said van, battling against the hurricane winds, we duly bought our 99s ("You can't fake a Flake" apparently) and made it back to the calm of the car with heaps of ice-cream still firmly attached to the cones. We sat there, the five of us - H, F and I and an elderly couple in a neighbouring car - and devoured our afternoon treats and contemplated the beautiful vista in front of us, as raspberry sauce dribbled down our chins.

Roll on summer and more ice-creams!
