Carpe Diem

We have just spent a fantastic evening at the opening night of the Cheltenham Poetry Festival.

Robert Frost said "Poetry is a way of taking life by the throat", and tonight eight brave teams, from four schools, performed poems that they had written, in front of a live audience, in the City Hall in Cheltenham.

It was amazing what these thirteen year old students came up with. From rap to rhythmical these kids had the audience roaring with laughter and silent in thought.

I am a very proud mommy tonight.
