Tricked ?

Was pleased to see these little fellows, I collected their forebears some years ago from a corn stubble they looked to good to plough in. Over time a spreading horizontal conifer swamped the bed and they were feared lost! Last autumn we felt the conifer had to go and it cut back to a stump ready for replanting in spring, the seeds of the wild pansy (Viola tricolor) must have lay dormant under the conifer. My only worry is they appear slightly confused my book says flowers May to September!
