Closing Down Sale

4.00 p.m. Riverside Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. I am back in my old hometown this weekend and sadly this photograph is a sad indictment on large parts of the town. Being in London you are little cocooned to how depressed it is in the provinces. Even shops that are still open seem to have posters with titles such as WE ARE OPEN. It's all a little bit depressing.
