The next stage . . .

It had been arranged that the concrete would be delivered at 2.30pm. This would give Postie time to finish his round provided he didn't talk to anyone or stop for lunch or anything else! At 7.30am we got a phone call from the mixer driver saying he'd decided to come out first thing, so would be with us shortly!!!! Panic!!! He was persuaded that he would be on his own if he came straight away - so after a bit of swearing and cussing he admitted he should have rung last night!

After a morning of borrowing a couple of extra wheelbarrows and then collecting a young lad from the village to give us a hand we were ready for the delivery. It took hardly any time to get it all barrowed into the trench and that was the foundation done.
As we had help on hand we also got a few other heavy jobs done at the same time. It's great to get underway and see the progress!

Himself has gone down to the village school for the traditional dancing this evening - on his own! I'm feeling decidedly off colour. Not sure, but I think it's my new painkillers! Which is a bit ironic when you think about it . . . . !
