Boddin

First real opportunity to get some landscapes with the new camera - but not as many as I'd hoped as I got sidetracked by cormorants and the battery ran out! (Did take quite a few pics with the old Nikon compact and have nearly finished the film).
Boddin is south of Montrose and the main features are the old lime-kiln, abandoned fishery buildings and boats, and a small cemetery on the cliff where one stone records a person who apparently died several years before he was born! Then, when travelling north, there's a rocky promontory resembling an elephant before arriving at Fishtown of Usan where there's an active salmon fishery. A bit further north is the Scurdie Ness lighthouse and Montrose harbour.
This coast is wonderful for photography, especailly on a clear day of sun and patchy cloud.
Despite the battery going I had several good pics but decided it had to be a landscape as that was the new area I was trying out.
