a day in the life of Jack

Suchomimus

Suchomimus: Suchomimus lived in the ancient marshes that were once found in what is today the Sahara Desert. Suchomimus probably used its long narrow snout to catch fish, and other slippery water animals.
The teeth of Suchomimus were small, dull, and numerous. The front most teeth were longer, which may have allowed it to trap prey.

Today Jack and I went to The Dinosaur Place on the 'Dino Trails'!! I won tickets to go today for their grand opening of the 2011 season. Jack has been so excited all week knowing we were going today.

We first played on the dinosaur playground, while they were getting ready for the grand opening ceremony. Jack went on the 'big kid' playscapes, and found a new friend named Molly. She was older and helped Jack on the tricky parts!

After the ceremony, we headed off on the mile and a half trail that goes into the woods. Along the way, there were dinosaurs, some hidden and some that seemed to jump out at you (although they were all stationary) because of their size!

We had a great time, and Jack was so excited!! He was always ahead of me and when he saw one coming up, he'd stop and make 'sound effects' so I'd think there were real dinosaurs coming up. Then he'd pretend to be scared, but then turn to me and say, "It's okay Mom...they aren't real, you have nothing to be scared of!"

We finished off our morning with lunch at TGIFridays, but then Jack seemed to be not feeling well. He felt a bit warm, with just a slight fever, and seemed pretty tired. So now it's just a relaxing day at home!

Check out some of the dinosaurs we saw....here!!
