Hubbard Bar & Grill Neon

Walking around the Short North district after a great sushi dinner at Koomba in Columbus, Ohio, I came across this blazing red neon sign for the Hubbard Bar & Grill on High Street.

At first I was just going to take a quick shot, but then I noticed that if I positioned myself just right, I could capture a nice reflection in the establishment's window. I struggled with the exposure due to the predominately dark background, but John Stoilov, a Canon Camera Product Educator for Marketstar, reminded me to switch to Spot metering which worked perfectly providing an exposure solution that rendered nice detail in the red neon lights without being fooled by the dark evening sky..
