NO NAME,

the little dark pony at the Eisenbahnerheim.

Mischa came yesterday evening later than expected because of her missed train-connection, that meant two hours later. So she was very tired, she had left her house at seven in the morning! In the dusk we saw for the first time this year the raccoons, they were huge and eat the pieces of bread fast.
This morning we were all very lazy. After lunch a walk to the Weser, the harbour and of course to the horses. Love at first sight for the dear animals.
Who perhaps thought that the detail of the door I showed some days ago was my own door, I have to tell it certainly is not. The oldest part of Karlshafen lies in the valley between the Diemel and the Weser. In wintertime I do find it there rather dark, the sun not rising above the hills most of the days.
The houses have little windows and there are not many gardens. The door of the Frei-House lies in the oldest part.
At the other side of the Weser there was build a "Garten-Stadt" in the thirthies of the 20th century, at the south-slope of the hills. All houses stood apart and had gardens around them. The highest street has houses build in 1960 and some years later. With a dramatic view on Karlshafen and the wooded hills at the other side. Here stands my dream-house, with big windows and easy to clean rooms. Part of the garden is simply woodland, the lower part has shrubs and perennials, very casual.
