Car boot sale

This morning the alarm was set for 6am. Today, was the day the junk in the garage would be sold at the weekly sunday car boot sale heldat the cattle mart.

What I learned from today: people will buy Anything... One mans rubbish really is another mans treasure... After an hour or so your stall begins to look desperate. You get left with the dregs of stuff that you should probably just skip, but then someone comes along and takes it for you. For money too.

When we got there for 7.15 it was quiet. Twenty minutes later there was a congregation of regulars who surrounding the car like vultures.

When the doors did open we made the majority of the days sales in the first 20 minutes.

There were lots of random prices thrown around, some were probably too high, others too low. On the whole though we gave the stuff away.

Hundred and fifty quid to create a space in the garage... We left happy.

The boy who kept coming back to look at the unopened jigsaw puzzle didn't have three pounds. He got it for what he could afford though, which pleased me.

He better keep on top of his 20p payment plan over the next three months though, else I'll track him down.

Was a funny day, lots of laughs.
