This fits today rather well.

Last night was broken. It must have been - there has to be a Good reason why I slept so badly (and why I woke up so blimmen cold).

Went shopping today and that's not one of my favourite activities. Still after two shops we cut our losses and I bought a pair of jeans from the first shop we were in. Yay for painless shopping.

Then we tried for part 2 - Get Me A Haircut. If you've met me then you know that I've got hair that looks like it would rather be somewhere else. After 4 months here it looks like it could almost get there. Alas, I'm not taken by swish salons that charge 20+ euro for a haircut that will not make me look like George Clooney but more like George Looney. All I want is a blimmen haircut that doesn't scare people. It was not to be found. I shall try again tomorrow.

However all was not lost. On the way home we passed a place that had a rather good sounding lunch menu - the dish that caught my eye was slow cooked leg of lamb with green beans and roasted potatoes. I'm not usually keen on lunch but it did sound good. I was wrong. It was heavenly. Quite possibly the nicest thing I've eaten in years. My mouth is watering at the memory.

Today's blip is a newish gosling. It made me go "aww" - I hope you do too.
