Blue

Almost like summer today, and we spent most of the day in the garden, needing to be in the shade at midday for the first time this year. E soaked up some Languedoc sun before she goes home tomorrow, and we barbecued red and green peppers, onions from the garden and some quail marinaded in cumin, garlic and lemon juice.

The Banksiae rose is at its best this week as all its tiny yellow flowers cover the shelter where we eat in the garden.

Very exciting news yesterday: I've collaborated with an artist friend, Mike Dodd, on a piece which has been accepted for an exhibition, 'Inside Out', in the gallery at Rhondda Heritage Park - he has done the art work incorporating a poem which I've written in English and Welsh (with a lot of help from E for the latter) - details of the show are here. I hope I'll be able to blip it when it's finished and before it goes to Wales.
