Was It Really So Long Ago

A Sunny Friday in April

I ventured out early this morning and what a fabulous one it is!!! Although cold at 6C, the sun was too inviting.

I had the option of going into the office early or heading out with the camera. I don't have anything like this view from my office window.

This ship is moored in the Blackwater River, just outside the Basin at Heybridge. Heybridge Basin is the start of the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation. Opened in 1793 Colliers' barges unloaded for the journey inland to Chelmsford.

There literally was no cloud in the sky - a perfect sunny Friday in April.

Have a great weekend.
