Peninsula Light

Primrose (Primula vulgaris), at the side of the road on my cycle route to/from work.

Thinking positive here, one of the advantages of my undulating route, is that on the long uphill slogs you're more likely to have a chance to see some of the countryside closely as you slowly move along. Though it's more of a blur hurtling down the other side - you'll see that bit when you go the other way!

The Black Isle is really good for wildflowers (IMHO), and they're one of the many things I really enjoy on my highly varied seven mile cycle route. Not something the tourist board have sold the area on. Perhaps they're mostly common types, but they're (fortunately) about in good numbers. Exploring the area by foot or bicycle, are probably the best ways to experience them.

And if you haven't guessed, there will be more...

(May have to back blip tomorrow, as I'm hoping to attend an event up North. All being well, there will be hundreds of photos taken... and difficulty selecting just one for here.)
