Uncle Sams American Circus

The circus has hit town and tonight in the idyllic showground setting with a super warm evening we caught the 5 0'clock peformance and for 10 pounds cut price tickets that were endlessly floating around town (I found mine on the street) were treated to an absolutely fantastic show.
Whilst the confusing title of the Uncle Sams American Circus was endorsed by people dressed up as Goofy, Mickey, Bud Lightyear and the dreaded all purveying Meercat!, the performing artists all appeared to be of Eastern European descent!
I am a massive fan of the circus and this was a good one albeit minus animals.
The last time animals appeared in a circus in Bakewell the zebra escaped down Coombes road! Not an everyday occurrence round here but none the worse for that.
The show reminded me very much of the Roger Corman school of filmmmaking which is based on the theory of 'if you've got a good first reel and a good last reel it doesn't really matter what happens in the middle'.
Highlights included a great wall of death motorbike act enacted in a dome like contaption that appeared far to small for 1 bike let alone 2 and a super dangerous first act with no safety net.
The clown was particulary disturbing or funny i'm never sure as he chose people from the audience to aid him in his humour.
I was shit scared that he'd choose me!
He didn't and I loved it. 10 stars!!
