Autumn 6: Cook Strait at dusk

I arrived at Te Raekaihau just as dusk was falling. I took several shots of a ship transiting the Cook Strait and this one came out okay.

The mountain across the sea is Mt Tapuaenuku (2885 metres high), in the Inland Kaikoura ranges. When the navigator Captain James Cook sighted the mountain in 1770, he named it Odin, presumably after the Norse god Odin, then nicknamed it 'The Watcher'.
