brunch at bill's

We met a friend in Lewes this morning for brunch at Bill's. Lou was in town with her eldest son Milo, youngest daughter Taya and two little Jack Russell puppies, Eartha and Wren whom we were meeting for the first time.

Eartha - as you can see - was not only super-cute but rather snoozy.

Perhaps one of the most famous Jack Russell terriers was Nipper, a dog born in 1884 who was thought to be a dog of the Jack Russell terrier type. He was the inspiration for the painting Dog looking at and listening to a Phonograph, later renamed to His Master's Voice. The painting was used by a variety of music related companies including The Gramophone Company and EMI. Today it remains in use incorporated into the logo for HMV in UK and Europe.

I took a load of shots whilst I was there, including some great ones of the frontage of Bill's cafe. I'd love to post more than one photo for today - as ususal - but I think this one best sums up the morning.

Sweet :0)
