Maruia Falls

The Maruia Falls were formed in the 1929 Murchison earth quake which was 7.8 on the richter scale.
I had just missed catching a kayak-er going over the falls, it is something they do quite often, I hope to catch one some day.
The old concrete building in the background is a disused power generator.
