Soap Bubble Jupiter.

Air currents across the surface of a soap bubble create swirling bands of colour that mimic in miniature the violent atmospheric belts and zones of a gas giant planet as light reflects off and is transmitted through the evanescent film.

A great afternoon was spent with Paula and the kids as they explored experiments designed to introduce children to science and technology at the City Art Centre as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival.
