Mummy & Papa Mac and I decided to finally go to Arbroath Abbey today (it's only taken us 20 years). I was very, very impressed, being that close to the ruins lets you appreciate how enormous the buildings were. The history of the buildings, and the part they played in Scotland's Independance was quite fascinating.

This is the roof of the Abbot's House, probably the best perserved part.
