HMCS Athabaskan

Just caught the Canadians at the CLT loading up with supplies.

This ship was built in Quebec and was launched in 1970, which strikes me as pretty remarkable that she's still in service.

She seems to be based in Halifax, NS. I'm going to have do a trawl of my Canada shots to see if I've got any more of her in her home port.

More here.

The name is based on a classification of a group indigenous North American languages. More on that here for the linguists amongst us.
