A Beautiful Blue . . . .

All foundations are dug and the footings built, but now we have to dig out and level the floor. We have made a good start at it, so today I thought I'd do a bit more. It was hard work, as it is full of rocks, clay, stones and rubbley soil, so I was taking my time.

Spotted this little glass bead in among it all. Any guesses as to its age or origin? Neighbour in the village reckons it might be Roman . . . .
