to dance class . . .

As usual, I took lots and lots of photos today and there were many for me to choose from. But this one kept rising to the top. This photo is special. This is the one I wanted to document. I'm walking behind my mom and my younger sister on our way to a Nia dance class. All three of us danced for many years with Truda Kaschmann, an incredible teacher who brought modern dance to the Hartford Conservatory in Hartford, CT. One of her students, besides the women in my family of course, was Alwin Nickolais!

It is so rare for all three of us to be together these days, and dancing no less!!
