nogbad's blips

A view from the front

Here's a shot you'll not see often. It's a colleague being presented to the Vice Chancellor of the Open University to celebrate her completing a Masters degree. And I took it from my seat on the stage as a member of OU staff. Behind them you'll just see the rest of the graduates waiting to be called up to be presented - there were nearly 400 at today's ceremony - and in the audience on either side and up in the circle are friends and relatives joining in this special day. Judith commented on yesterday's blip about a piece I wrote about another ceremony. If anyone is interested it is on page 32 of this edition of Sesame. I also took a rather blurry self-portrait which is on Flickr. I don't get many chances to wear a suit and tie let alone the full regalia.

Cal has been busy at the engine sheds today so he's grabbing a bath before settle down to watch the derby at Wembley - C'mon you Blues!
